Installation

1. We find it very helpful to take a picture of the old battery in it's place with a Smartphone, then if the wiring or battery mounting is in question, the picture is there for easy reference. A quick step that can make the installation process much easier.
2. Disconnect the old battery.
3. Connect the new battery, red wire to red terminal, black wire to black terminal.
4. Call your alarm company or monitoring centre to let them know you changed the alarm battery, and ask them to provide you the code for your alarm to reset the trouble code. Every panel has a slightly different way of clearning the low battery trouble light. Find out from your alarm company the right procedure and code for your system.
